When I say that Hobbs Point is about as close to Heaven as you can get, folks think that I am somewhat biased, you know “oh well he would say that, wouldn’t he, he runs a guest cottage!” But Heide and I live here, and when we searched for a place to retire to, 20 years ago, we were actually looking for, a little teeny weeny slice of heaven. But don’t take my word for it. Here are a few recent quotes from Hobbs Point Cottage quest book.

“As Darryl Kerrigan (The Castle) would say “How’s the serenity?”. This is Mother Nature’s Art gallery and Brian and Heide have managed to improve on it. Stunning! ” …… Annette & Ceres

“Nice ambience – quiet, nourishing. A lovely place to relax, rest and rejunvenate. Far from the madding crowd but not too far from the conveniences. Thank you Brian for the guided tour and your hospitality. May you both be well and happy! ” …….. Brett & Fontane

“Absolutely wonderful place – the views, the bushland and the cottage are first class! Perfect for celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. Thank you.” ………. David & Sylvia

“This has been such a beautiful, relaxing week. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful cottage and land with us! We’ve both enjoyed the stay here more than we can describe – the fishing, oyster shucking, befriending the wallaby, and just sitting back and enjoying the sights & sounds of nature. Thanks again so much, it really was a perfect break” …….. Shane & Laura

It looks like it could be weeks before we get the election result. So grab a partner, stuff a few essentials in your kitbag, and head out for your Serenity Cure! If you see this on social media, you can contact us from our website
