Kayaking & canoeing Wagonga Inlet
Many of our guests at Hobbs Point Cottage borrow our canoe, which comfortably seats two, and is ideal for safely exploring the upper reaches of Wagonga Inlet. The inlet is large, covering an area of 6 square kilometers, and it measures 12 kilometers from the ocean to it's northern tip at Billa Bilba Creek. Surrounded by forest with few man made distractions, it is serenely beautiful.
If you want to explore the whole Inlet, or to paddle to Forsters Bay for coffee or lunch at either "The Inlet" or "The Quarterdeck", you probably need a Kayak, which you would need to bring yourself or hire locally.
Nearby kayaking routes
Within about a 30 minute drive from Hobbs Point are a number of lovely lakes and rivers to explore. Wallaga , Corunna and Coila Lakes near Bermagui, Tilba and Tuross respectively, and the Tuross and Moruya Rivers offer great opportunities to simply escape and enjoy.
