the serenity cure

suffering from Post Election Stress Disorder? you need the Serenity Cure     When I say that Hobbs Point is about as close to Heaven as you can get, folks think that I am somewhat biased, you know “oh well he would say that, wouldn’t he, he runs a guest cottage!” But Heide and I live here, and when we searched for a place to retire to, 20 years ago, we were actually looking for, a little teeny weeny slice of heaven. Swimming Bermagui – The Blue Pool

The Blue Pool Bermagui There are a number of rock pools in Australia, but surely, none of them can be more beautiful than the Blue Pool in Bermagui. Steve is a keen photographer, and uses a Canon EOS 700D. Heide was particularly impressed with Steve’s image of the Milky way (shown below), which he shot with a 30 sec exposure. You can see more of Steve’s work in the Guest Gallery Author Brian Smith

The burn was delayed for 24 hours, but to our delight it eventually started. I was a bit worried about cottage guests arriving at 4pm the following […]

Hobbs Point GalleryOur New Hobbs Point Gallery now includes Photographs of Narooma & NSW South Coast, in addition to the existing Hobbs Point Views and Wildlife Galleries, plus a gallery featuring photographs taken by guests staying at Hobbs Point Cottage. Heide has photographed the South Coast for more than 20 years; it is an area of great natural beauty, of sea & craggy shores, bordered by forests which  continue westward for 100 kilometres to the Great Dividing Range. In addition to the photographs in the gallery, our blog contains images and information […]
